Las Japonesas Flamencas

Picture
Las Japonesas Flamencas was a sub group of Matiz Flamenco. The original idea was to present Japanese flamenco performers for fun because there are many of them yet under-represented in Bay Area Flamenco scene.

When the huge earthquake hit Tohoku (Northern Japan) area on March 11, 2011, Las Japonesas Flamencas got a mission to support Japan with Flamenco. Since then, Las Japonesas Flamencas has donated their performance to various benefit/fundraising events for Northern Japan earthquake and Tsunami Relief, including  "Flamenco for Japan" at La Pena cultural center, Berkeley, on 4/14,  fundraising dinner shows in Palo Alto on 4/28, and "Art, Love and Japan", a fundraising art event, at Sugar Cafe, San Francisco, on 5/25, Gala Celebration & Reception for fundraising for Japan on 7/23 and name a few

Las Japonesas Flamencas has extended to perform for other good causes such as Shakti 2015 supporting women as well as  artistic or community events. If you would like to have our performance, please contact  Yuli at 415-225-4943 or [email protected]

Thank you.
